Our Spring and Summer FUNdraiser is well underway! If you’ve seen clusters of pink flamingos popping up around Van Buren County it’s probably Habitat for Humanity of Van Buren County that’s to blame.
As a fun way to raise money and awareness of our mission in the community, we have started a “Flocking Fundraiser” where an individual (or group) can make a donation of $15.00 to “serve” a friend, family member, or business with a flocking. A flocking is performed by placing 25 pink flamingos and our “You Got Flocked” sign in the Flockees lawn. The sender is known as the “Flocker” and receiver as the “Flockee”. Once flocked, Flockees can donate $15.00 to have the flock of 25 wrangled and removed. In addition to removal, for a $5.00 donation Flockees can become Flockers by choosing the next landing zone and for another $5.00 donation, Flocking Insurance can be provided to protect themselves from future Flock backs. It’s all in great fun and we sincerely hope the community is enjoying the recent flamingo sightings.
If you or someone you know would like to get in on the fun click the link below to our Flamingo Flocking Form.
